The Police has said that investigations into the death of Afrobeats musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba known as Mohbad, may reveal some shocking details.
Police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, however assured that anyone who is indicted in MohBad’s death will not go unpunished.
Adejobi said this while reacting to a post on X (Twitter) that many Nigerians await the outcome of police investigation even though an alleged suspect in the case is currently out of the country.
“Anyone who is indicted in this case won’t go unpunished. Whatever it is, there must be investigation concluded and report forwarded for necessary action,” Adejobi said.
“If it is on this Mohbad matter, the matter has received due attention. Except there are hidden agendas that certain individuals want to use to cause unrest or incite the public against the government in Nigeria.
“I think we need to allow the investigation team formed by the police to carry out its investigations. There can’t be justice without investigation. Investigation encompasses so many things.
“Don’t be surprised that those you don’t know or you have not mentioned might be indicted. In the security business, we say trust no one. So, let us allow the team to do its job.”
Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, last Thursday said that the body of the late musician, Mohbad can be exhumed for autopsy.
Hundeyin said this during an Instagram live session with media personality Ifedayo Olarinde also known as Daddy Freeze while fielding questions on the controversy behind Mohbad’s death.
