Almost every young person in Sagamu is a cultist – Police spokesman claims

The public relations officer of the Nigeria Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has claimed that nearly all young people in Sagamu, Ogun state, are cultists.

This was contained in a social post he shared on Sunday.

Adejobi was reacting to the recent cult clashes in the area which has claimed the lives of over 20 young persons.

“In Sagamu, it seems like almost every young person is involved in cultism. Not just students but even okada riders, artisans, and others. I believe the entire town and Remoland should take action to address this issue.

“I am an authority on Sagamu cases. Ask them if they know me. No one from Sagamu can dispute what I’ve said. So don’t worry about my statement; even the elders and Sagamites know,” he added.

A curfew has since been imposed in the area due to the recent crisis.
