The Enugu governorship election petitions tribunal has ruled that Peter Mbah is the state’s duly elected governor.
The tribunal struck out the Labour Party (LP) and its candidate, Chijioke Edeoga’s petition, dismissing it for lacking merit.
The allegations of over-voting and bypassing BVAS were also dismissed after the tribunal examined the evidence presented.
It further ruled that Mbah was duly elected by the majority of lawful and valid votes cast at the election in addition to the fact that the election complied with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.
The judgment was delivered on Thursday afternoon, favouring Mbah, who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
No be Nigeria again. The judgement was anticipated.
