BREAKING: Popular Nigerian Sports Journalist Temisan Okomi is Dead

Temisan Okomi, a popular sports broadcast journalist with Classic FM 97.3, has passed away.

His death was confirmed on Friday by News Central journalist, Olawale Adigun, in a post shared on X.

Adigun expressed shock and grief over the loss, describing the news as devastating and noting that Okomi meant a great deal to him.

The announcement has since sparked an outpouring of tributes on social media, with colleagues, fans, and industry figures mourning the late broadcaster.

Okomi had previously worked with Lagos Television, HiTV, and several other notable media organisations in Nigeria.

A check of his X account shows that his last post was on April 14, 2026, where he wrote, “The Champions League is hard, man.”
