Following recent controversy over President Bola Tinubu’s certificate from Chicago State University, Politics Nigeria reports that the school has limited access to its X (Twitter) account.
Checks by our correspondent on Friday, October 6, revealled that intending followers now require permission to see new tweets or send direct messages to the university.
It was also gathered that the decision was based on dozens of enquirers on Tinubu’s certificate to the school by some Nigerians on the microblogging platform.
“So because some Nigerian youths called out Chicago State University, they decided to shut their Twitter page for the last 6 weeks,” Nigerian journalist, Eniola Akinkuotu, said.
“Unbelievable. So all their students, alumni and prospective students cannot access the school’s page? Is this school serious at all,” he queried.
This newspaper earlier reported that while Chicago State University confirmed that Tinubu attended the school, it however distanced itself from the certificate that the president is currently parading in Nigeria.
