JUST IN: Dozens killed as Israeli air strike hits mosque at central Gaza

A series of Israeli airstrikes on Wednesday afternoon in a mosque at al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza killed at least 30 people and injured a dozen others.

“A number of Palestinians were killed and injured in the strike on Al Aqsa Martyrs Mosque,” a source told Anadolu, without giving an exact figure.

The strike has caused “widespread destruction” in the area, the source said.

Gaza is experiencing a dire humanitarian crisis with no electricity, while water, food, fuel, and medical supplies are running out.

UN chief Antonio Guterres has called for an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire” to ease the “epic human suffering.”

At least 3,478 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, while the figure is more than 1,400 people in Israel.
