President Bola Tinubu has bragged about winning the 2023 presidential election and defeating his opponents in court.
In a speech at the closing ceremony of a retreat for ministers, permanent secretaries, presidential aides, and top government officials on Friday, Tinubu said he was “very proud” of himself and his cabinet members for their victory.
“I’m proud, standing before you, I’m very proud of every one of you and I’m proud of myself too, I went for election and won with your support, they took me to court and I won,” he said.
Tinubu defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 election. He also defeated Atiku and Obi’s challenge to his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal and the Supreme Court.
