APC hell-bent on one-party state in Nigeria, says Atiku

A former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to turn Nigeria into a one-party state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2019 and 2023 general elections made the declaration while receiving the Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) delegates, who paid him a solidarity visit today in his Abuja residence.

Speaking during the visit, Atiku thanked them for the visit and for identifying with him. He decried the poor state of affairs in the country since the coming of the APC)regime.

He expressed his readiness to work for the unity of Nigeria at all times and for the uplifting of the fortunes of citizens, stating that he is not quitting the political stage yet.

He also advocated the merger of the different political parties to combat the APC in future elections.

Atiku noted regrettably that the last general election and the recent off-season elections were the worst in our political history.

He lamented that instead of an improvement, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other public institutions are deteriorating, making themselves instruments of oppression in the hands of the authoritarian APC regime.
