Following the Appeal Court’s judgment sacking Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, security operatives on Friday flooded strategic locations in Kano City to maintain law and order.

Earlier, State Commissioner of Police Mr. Husaini Gumel, through a statement by the state’s spokesman SP Haruna Kiyawa, had urged residents to refrain from any jubilation following the court’s ruling.
Since 6 am, security personnel from the police, civil defense, and other agencies have been stationed at key locations across the state including Zaria Road, Audu Bako Way, Murtala Muhammad Way, and Ahmadu Bello Way.
Access to State Road, where the Government House is located, was restricted, prompting motorists to use alternative routes to reach Hotoro Road.
