Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the ‘maltreatment’ of some Nigerians in China.
FFK, a chieftain of the Opposition People Democratic Party, PDP, blamed Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari for the situation. It will be recalled that some Nigerians leaving in China were thrown out of their homes recently over concerns related to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
In a statement on Facebook of Friday, Fani-Kayode wrote;
“After our Consul-General in China complained about the way in which Nigerians are being treated by the Chinese authorities they assaulted him and threatened his life.”
“This is reckless, dangerous, unacceptable and provocative behaviour on the part of the Chinese and it must stop!”
“If not for the fact that we have a weak, corrupt, incompetent and cowardly Federal Government and an absentee President who do not give a damn about our people this would not be happening.”
“Under Buhari Nigerians were sold into slavery in Libya, killed in South Africa, thrown out of Angola, persecuted in Ghana, vilified in Britain and treated like scum in China.” he stated.
