Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded February elections, has urged Nigerian workers to reflect on their situation this May Day and to remain hopeful despite the challenges they face.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that in a message of solidarity to the labor union, the former vice president noted the many socio-economic problems that Nigerians have experienced in the past eight years under the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
Atiku stressed that the policy errors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government have led to insecurity in all aspects of workers’ lives, including their access to food, shelter, health, wealth, and education.
Despite this, Atiku encouraged workers to remain steadfast and optimistic, both for the sake of future generations and the country’s future. He praised the resilience, hard work, perseverance, and endurance of Nigerian workers and called on them to stand with him as he legally seeks to reclaim his mandate.
