The governor of Niger State, Umar Bago, on Tuesday approved the appointment of a new Head of Civil Service for the state.
A statement by Abubakar Usman, the Secretary to the Niger Government of Niger State said Abubakar Sadiq is now the new HoS in Niger State.
According to Usman, the governor upon approving the new appointment urged the Hos to ensure he discharges his duty diligently and responsibly.
He also urged the new HoS to ensure he functions within the civil service rules and regulations.
The new HoS is also expected to bring to bear his cognate experience in his new assignment.
The governor further urged civil servants in the state to support and cooperate with the new Head of Service and ensure the state becomes the envy of other states across the nation.
Until his appointment, Sadiq was the Permanent Secretary, of General Services, SSG’s Office.
He has also worked in many Ministries, Departments and Agencies including Ministries for Water Resources, Solid Minerals, and Public Service Office.
