Abuja market women, men donate foodstuff to Remi Tinubu

Members of the Market Women and Men’s Association of Nigeria in the FCT have donated foodstuff to the First Lady, Senator Olufemi Tinubu.

Politics Nigeria learnt that the food items include yam, tomatoes, pepper and onions.

President of the association, Felicia Sani, while presenting the foodstuffs, said the donation was to formally welcome the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to the FCT.

She said the donation was also to formally adopt Mrs Tinubu as a member of the association following her positive contribution to the wellbeing of women nationwide.

She added that market women and men, under the Tinubu-led administration, have been excelling in their businesses due to the peaceful environment provided since his assumption of office.

She urged the First Lady to continue to support market women with the needed resources at all levels in order to enable them to expand their businesses across the country.

The Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs of the FCTA, Mrs Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi, represented by the Assistant Director in the secretariat, Joy Okosa, received the foodstuffs on behalf of the First Lady.

She commended them for the donation and pledged the administration’s continued support to their wellbeing.
