Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu escapes assassination by men in Police Van [PHOTOS]

A Popular Nigerian Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu has revealed how he narrowly survived an assassination attempt on his life.

This is the second time Gwamnishu has escaped assassination in Delta state.

According to him, some men dressed in black in a registered police van attempted to shoot him while he was on his way to a function on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 1:40 pm just before the Asaba International airport.

He disclosed that on noticing how the van was driving dangerously close to his vehicle, he quickly used his phone to start recording the shocking scenario.

The video was shared on his verified Facebook page showing the faces of the would-be assailants with one  pointing an AK-47 gun at him in an apparent attempt to shoot.

The activist smoothly swerved off the highway to avoid being killed. He wrote, “They pointed the gun and pulled the trigger.”

“Today I escaped an assassination attempt by some men dressed in black and driving a black Hilux vehicle with the inscription: Police’ (NIGERIA POLICE) fully armed with AK-47 rifle. This happened today at 1:40 pm before the Asaba International Airport. Immediately I noticed I was being trailed, I held my phone with my left hand and drove with my right hand.”

“I don’t know who they are or who sent them. The Delta State Police should immediately fish them. This is the second assassination attempt. My time has not come.”
