The former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has commended the appointment of young people into key executive positions of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Atiku said the ADC, the official coalition party for the 2027 general election is boldly demonstrating youth inclusion.
In a post made on Friday, the two-time presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the newly appointed young executives of the party deserve their appointments.
Recall that the ADC had appointed Bilyaminu Duhu as its Assistant National Youth Leader, North East; Jackie Wayas, Deputy National Publicity Secretary; Hassana Dada as Assistant National Youth Leader, North Central; David Itokpa as Deputy National Welfare Secretary and Hauwa Yusuf as its Deputy National Secretary.
Congratulating the new appointees, the former vice president said “the vibrant young members of the ADC…deserved appointments to the party’s National Working Committee.”
He also noted that the future of the Nigerian youths must not be shaped in their absence.
He said, “The ADC is no longer just speaking about youth inclusion; it is now boldly demonstrating it in action.
“Indeed, the future of our youth must not be shaped in their absence, and I commend the ADC for setting a powerful example by giving them a seat at the table where decisions are made.
“This is what true leadership looks like, not just talking the talk, but walking it with purpose,” Atiku said.
