Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), visited Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe to extend his condolences after the tragic loss of their son, Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
Dr. Wigwe served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc and the Group Managing Director of Access Bank Plc.
The heartbreaking incident occurred last Friday, February 9, 2024, when Dr. Wigwe, his wife, Doreen, and their son, Chizi, lost their lives in a helicopter accident in the United States.
The crash also claimed the life of Abimbola Ogunbanjo, a former chairman of the Nigeria Stock Exchange. United States authorities have indicated that preliminary reports suggest wintry weather conditions may have contributed to the accident.
Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe, who are members of the RCCG City of David in Lagos, received Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s visit with gratitude and appreciation.
In a post on his verified Facebook page, Pastor Adeboye expressed heartfelt condolences to the grieving family, offering warmth and comfort during this difficult time.
The post reads, “May his memory be a source of comfort in these difficult times to the family and RCCG City of David Family in Jesus name.”
