Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke joined prominent personalities in the state to celebrate the annual Osun Oshogbo festival on Friday.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the governor, who is known for his dancing skills, thrilled the crowd with some of his signature dance moves.
He also took time to greet and shake hands with some of the attendees.
Speaking about the festival, Adeleke said that his administration has given the Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove a facelift, as promised during his campaign. He said the goal is to promote the festival and Osun State’s cultural heritage to a global audience.
“As a starting point, our administration has facelifted the Osun Groove, and we are committed to doing more,” Adeleke said in a post on Twitter. “I felicitated with Kabiyesi, the Ataoja-in-Council, all the traditional leaders, and all the pillars of our cultural society.
“We were delighted to join our people for the Osun Osogbo Festival today. I stated that our administration has a tourism and cultural industry agenda. Our agenda targets genuine globalization of our cultural heritage as a major building block of our economy.”
