To ensure that his players remain undistracted and committed to the upcoming challenge, Peseiro has issued a set of guidelines, including warnings against entertaining female visitors in the camp.

Reports indicate that players are expected to adhere to strict punctuality for team meetings, abstain from answering phone calls during meetings, and strictly follow team curfews, with a mandated bedtime of 11 pm.

The Super Eagles players find themselves confined to the fourth floor of the Pullman Hotel in Abidjan, with the team’s chief security officer overseeing surveillance to ensure compliance with these instructions.

A source close to the team stated, “Peseiro has gone tough on the players. He warned that he will not hesitate to expel any player who flouts camp rules as they stay on course to win the AFCON.

“The man is just a game away from reaching the target the NFF set for him to get a new contract, and as such, he is not smiling or joking.”

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) had linked Peseiro’s contract extension to reaching the AFCON semifinals, intensifying the stakes for the team.
