Afenifere reveals solution to Nigeria’s problem

A socio-cultural organization for the Yoruba people of Nigeria, Afenifere says the solution to the problem of the country is for the president, Muhammadu Buhari to exit office.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the 2023 Nigeria General elections will take place in February of that year, to elect the new President. Incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) President Muhammadu Buhari is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third consecutive term. Afenifere is displeased with Buhari’s reign.

The group’s acting leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, said while addressing journalists on Tuesday after its monthly meeting held in his Sanya -Ogbo residence, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State that “the APC has no solution to our problem”.

He said, “The solution to the problem is for the man (Buhari) to leave the place.

“The APC has no solution to our problem. What we are talking about is to form a national government to implement restructuring.

“All areas of conflicts are embedded in restructuring the country.”

Concerning the debate on whether bandits should be declared by the federal government as terrorists, Adebanjo said, “We have told him (Buhari) long time ago. The National Assembly and Commodore (Kunle) Olawunmi have also said it that he should declare them, including herdsmen and bandits as terrorists.”

The Afenifere meeting deliberated on various issues concerning the nation, particularly the ways they affect the Yorubas.

  1. If Buhari leaves power so what’s next?
The system is curropt so the only way is to reform the system in 2023 before electng in a new president.
Let’s have a country where we can boost of checks and balances in the system so no one will feel too powerful.
A government where the efcc, military and all the paramilitary will know their work and stop working for the executive.
A country where our resources are channeled in the right direction, the economy thrives and the naira will gain value in the exchange market.
That is what we need not just for Buhari to go.
