Ahmed Gulak: “Exercise Restraint” – Senate President begs youths calling for ‘revenge’

Senate President, Ahmed Lawan has called for peace and restraint following the gruesome murder of APC chieftain, Ahmed Gulak in Owerri, Imo state on Saturday evening.

Lawan made the call on Monday afternoon. He also condemned the killing describing it as a ‘crime too many’ adding that a swift investigation must be launched to bring all who are involved in the crime to justice.

The Senate President said that there can be no justification for the brutal murder of a human being and fellow citizen. He appealed for restraint on the part of those calling for revenge, saying they should allow the relevant authorities to serve justice on the matter as the injury of the crime was inflicted on Nigeria as a whole.
Lawan extended condolences to the family and friends of the departed as well as the government and people of Adamawa State on the incident.
