Co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls Movement, Aisha Yesufu, has declared that she will become a card-carrying member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing her support for Peter Obi.
Yesufu made the declaration on Wednesday in Enugu, in solidarity with Obi following his defection from the Labour Party to the ADC.
She urged well-meaning Nigerians to unite ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing the need for collective action to rescue the country.
“I have never been a card-carrying member of any political party, but I will be a card-carrying member of the ADC,” she said.
“Enough is enough. There is no more time for tears. We have cried too much.
“From this moment onward, we will fight for Nigeria. We will build a great nation.
“ADC will take Nigeria to a point where the son of a nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody,” Yesufu added.
