The Chairman of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi has revealed why his TV Station, AIT, was shut down earlier today by the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission under the leadership of Ishaq Moddibo Kawu.
Dokpesi, who staged a one-man protest on Thursday at the National Assembly in Abuja over alleged attempts by the government to gag free press in Nigeria, accused Kawu of being ‘biased’ adding that he was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and was using his position as chairman of the commission to suppress free speech.
