Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s chief press secretary, Richard Olatunde, has reacted to rumours of his principal’s return from a prolong medical vacation in Germany.
In a statement on Thursday, Olatunde reiterated that his boss is still recuperating in Germany and not yet back to Nigeria.
“Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, has not yet returned to the country. The governor is currently still on a medical vacation in Germany,” Olatunde’s statement said.
“We would like to assure the good people of Ondo state and Nigerians in general that the governor’s return will be widely publicised.
“While we acknowledge that his return is imminent, we urge our citizens to disregard any false information and preemptive mischief orchestrated by jittery politicians.
“For emphasis, Governor Akeredolu has not yet returned to the country.”
Governor Akeredolu travelled to Germany for a medical vacation and has since handed over the power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who is serving in acting capacity.
