Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, wife of Rotimi Akeredolu, the Ondo State Governor, has quashed rumours that her husband is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that rumours were rife last week that the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain has passed on in Germany. There were claims of him being treated for cancer at a hospital abroad.
But responding to the rumours on Sunday, the Ondo First Lady wrote on her known Facebook page: “Baba Aketi niyen! Dey enjoy your vacation jare. A begi wetin I dey hear, gist kini? Shitloveragain? Na you go waka go hell fire! (That is Baba Aketi, continue enjoying your vacation. What am I hearing? ‘Shitlover’ again? It is you that will go to hell fire.)”
Akeredolu is a Nigerian politician and lawyer who is currently the Governor of Ondo State, in office since February 24, 2017. His adopted prefix is “Arakunrin”, while his nickname is “Aketi”. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) who became president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in 2008. He is the current Governor of Ondo State and doubles as the chairman of Southwest Governors Forum.
