A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC, Garus Gololo, has described the Senate President, Godwill Akpabio, as flippant, unprofessional, and childish in conduct.
Gololo made the comment in an interview with the Daily Sun newspaper.
He said Nigeria is in for more trouble with Akpabio sitting as the Chairman of the National Assembly.
Gololo lamented that Akpabo made utterances without considering the seat he was occupying.
His words: “Right now, I sympathize with the 10th Assembly and indeed all Nigerians because whatever decisions they make transcend down to 250 million Nigerians. What I am saying is that the business of the number three person in Nigeria is not for somebody like Akpabo.
“What I am saying is that the seat of the Senate President is an institution that people consult. Recently, Akpabo has failed to assert this leadership quality owing to poor personal conduct while presiding over the business of the day.
“Akpabo embarrassed the entire country while exposing how the Senate took care of themselves before embarking on a holiday. Again few days ago, he made another blunder while thanking Mr. President for the package given to them for breaking fast.
“So how long will Nigeria be patient with this kind of person, whose duty is to talk like a market woman?”
He added that Akpabo’s excesses have shown gross incompetence as the country’s number three citizen with so many unguarded utterances.
