Alhaji Suleiman Sambo, elder brother of former VP Namadi Sambo, passes away at 82

Alhaji Suleiman Sambo, the elder brother of former Vice President and former Governor of Kaduna State, Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo, has passed away at the age of 82.

He died on Monday, November 4, 2024, after battling a prolonged illness.

Alhaji Sambo, who had a distinguished career in public service, worked in the Department of Government Printing within the defunct Ministry of Information and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, retiring in 1994 as a Chief Superintendent after 35 years of dedicated service.

He is survived by his wife, 11 children, 52 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

His funeral was held at the Bashama Road Cemetery, where family members, relatives, and well-wishers, including his younger brother Namadi Sambo, gathered to pay their respects.

The Chief Imam of Kaduna Polytechnic Central Mosque, Ustaz Sadiq Yusuf, led the funeral rites and called on the congregation to live lives dedicated to Allah and contribute positively to their communities.

He also praised Alhaji Suleiman Sambo for his lifelong commitment to fostering religious harmony and peace.
