Alia reacts as plan to dethrone prominent Benue monarch thickens

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has reacted to fresh plans to dethrone Ochi-Idoma Elaigwu Odogbo.

The social media space has been agog with rumours of plans to remove and replace the Ochi-Idoma over his support for the Alia administration.

Speaking at the Ochi-Idoma Square in Otukpo local government area of the state, Alia warned those plotting to remove the Ochi-Idoma to have a rethink.

Represented by his deputy, Sam Ode, the governor said no one will dethrone the paramount Idoma leader under his watch and trigger insecurity.

Notable personalities of idoma ethnic nationality in Benue State gathered at the Ochi Idoma square in Otukpo town to celebrate the growth of the kingdom and other achievements.

Chairman council of chiefs, the Tor Tiv Orchivirigh James Ayatse, also joined the Ochi idoma and prominent sons as select achievers were honoured.

Prominent Nigerians including Ode, commissioner for finance and 16 others made the list of honorees were conferred titles.
