The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been ordered not to act against Miss Ejikeme Mmesoma.
The call was made by the House of Representatives during plenary on Tuesday, July 5. Hon. Awaji-Inombek D. Abiante sponsored the motion.
Mmesoma allegedly manipulated her Unified Tartary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result.
The House consequently called on JAMB to lift the sanction of barring the candidate from participating in the examination for three years.
The House called for independent examiners to examine the girl’s script to determine her score.
It also resolved to probe JAMB facilities to avert such a situation much later.
The House also said it was aware that on July 2 2023, JAMB, Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made a public pronouncement accusing Miss Ejikeme Mmesoma of manipulating her UTME results that she scored 249 instead of 362 as claimed.
