Former President Muhammdu Buhari has congratulated the past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi as he marks his 60th birthday celebration.
The former president described Amaechi as a golden fish who remained a great asset to his administration.
Amaechi marked his 60th birthday on Tuesday, May 27, with several leaders including President Bola Tinubu sending congratulatory messages to the former minister.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, May 28, by Garba Shehu, his media aide, Buhari said that through Amaechi’s initiative, the long-overdue gaps created in Nigeria’s railway transport system were bridged.
Buhari added that through Amaechi’s resilience, his administration completed several abandoned projects.
“Under him, the nation witnessed a new era of railway infrastructure. I wish him and his family many happy years ahead,” Buhari said.
