Chika Edoziem, head, Directorate of States (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that Nnamdi Kanu, the detained founder of the proscribed group, has “handed over” leadership to it.
Edoziem said this during a special broadcast on Friday night, monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA.
“I want to let the Indigenous people of Biafra (members) led by our supreme leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, know that the leadership that he put in place, the DOS, is working, focused, determined and devotedly to the very great work that has been handed on to us,” Edoziem said.
“Be rest assured that this very DOS are not leaving any stone unturned in order to ensure that our leader, the supreme leader Ohamadike of Biafraland, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will join us soon in the shortest possible time.”
“Let me inform the great wonderful family of IPOB that our leader has all of us in his thoughts and not minding the very difficult place that he has found himself, he has all of us in his prayers and of course, he sends all his regards to all of us.”
Kanu is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) following his rearrest in Kenya in June 2021. Kanu is facing charges of terrorism, treasonable felony and unlawful possession of firearms.
