“An ineffectual being running his mouth like a faulty tap” – Wike blasts Bauchi governor

The Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, speaking on behalf of Minister Nyesom Wike, has launched a scathing attack on Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed.

Wike dismissed Mohammed as an “ineffectual being” whose 2027 presidential ambition is “dead on arrival.”

Olayinka, in a statement issued on Monday, accused Mohammed of hypocrisy and lacking the leadership capacity to head the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.

He stated, “We are done with any object by the name Bala Mohammed. We won’t be available to be used by any ineffectual being to launch a dead-on-arrival 2027 presidential ambition.”

The statement followed comments by Mohammed criticizing Wike’s decision to serve as a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, accusing him of lacking integrity.

Dismissing the Bauchi governor’s remarks, Olayinka reminded Mohammed of his own political history.

He cited instances where opposition members, including Mohammed himself, accepted roles in ruling governments.

“Bala Mohammed, who left his ANPP Senatorial mandate to become a Minister under the PDP government of President Goodluck Jonathan, is now running his mouth like a faulty tap,” Olayinka noted.

He added, “If offered even a Special Assistant position by the APC government in 2015, Bala Mohammed would have accepted it and defected.”
