Another Commissioner resigns from Obaseki’s cabinet

The Edo State Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability, Dame Omoua Oni-Okpako, has resigned her appointment.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that she has tendered her resignation letter to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Thursday but has not been made public as of press time.

But a Personal Assistant in her office confirmed her resignation and said she will communicate her reason for leaving the post soon.

Confirming the development, a top government official said they have been doubting Oni-Okpako’s total commitment to the Obaseki’s administration.

“I am also just hearing that but in recent times we have been noticing her non-committal attitude to this government”, the source said.

In the last few weeks since Obaseki defected to the PDP, several Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants have also resigned their appointment with the government.
