APC chieftain apologizes to police for wearing SPY uniform at political rally

Blessing Agbomhere, the South-South Zonal Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a public apology to the Nigerian Police Force for donning a supernumerary (SPY) police uniform during a political rally where he criticized Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The Nigerian Police had earlier ordered Agbomhere’s arrest for further investigation.

In his apology, Agbomhere explained that wearing the uniform was a reaction to his frustration with the alleged misgovernance of Governor Obaseki.

He stated that his actions were not intended to disrespect the police, and he deeply regretted any offence caused.

While apologizing for the uniform incident, Agbomhere remained firm in his critique of Obaseki’s administration, accusing the governor and Asue Ighodalo, the Chairman of the Edo State Economic Team, of corruption and mismanagement.

He reaffirmed his support for APC gubernatorial candidate Monday Okpebholo, calling for voters to reject the incumbent government.

Agbomhere concluded by reaffirming his commitment to nation-building and peace, citing his involvement in various professional and civic organizations, including the Supernumerary Police Division.
