The Factional acting national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Victor Giadom has given an insight into the major topic of discussion in the controversial National Executive Committee meeting scheduled to hold today by 12 pm.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the meeting which will be held virtually will witness the presence of all NEC members and the President, Muhammadu Buhari. It will be recalled that President Buhari recognized Giadom as the authentic acting national chairman of the party, a move that has threatened to completely rip the party apart.
A faction of the party loyal to Oshiomole and its National Working Committee, in response to the development, disclosed that they will not be attending any meeting convened by Giadom.
In a statement on Wednesday night, Giadom tweeted that the meeting will strongly focus on proferring solutions to the multiple problems currently facing the party.
“I call on all National Executive Committee (NEC) members to log into the virtual meeting from 11:00 am. The meeting link and code have been sent via text messages to all NEC members.”
“It is very important that we avail ourselves the opportunity of meeting so as to proffer solutions to our lingering party crisis and put the party back on sound footing. I, therefore, most humbly appeal to all NEC members to attend the virtual meeting,” he stated.
