“APC has acknowledged that Ndi Igbo are marginalized” – Gov Uzodimma

The governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodimma has stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the national level has acknowledged that the southeast geopolitical zone is marginalized in the scheme of things.

He, however, promised that the party would initiate the process of de-marginalization of the zone.

The governor made the statement while addressing APC members at Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi state, during the party’s southeast stakeholders’ meeting.

He expressed gratitude to the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, for instituting the program of de-marginalization of Ndi Igbo within the system and solicited the support of the people to actualize the program.

His words: “I want to thank our national chairman for the program of de-marginalization of Ndi Igbo.

“The beauty of this program is that the national leadership has acknowledged that we are being marginalized, and they have taken it upon themselves to de-marginalize us.

“All we are asking for now is your support and cooperation.”

The governor also called for unity among the party rank and file within the zone, noting that nothing can be achieved without a sense of unity of purpose.

Responding, Ganduje reiterated and confirmed the position of the governor, while assuring that the process of de-marginalization of the zone is in top gear.
