The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC has summoned an emergency meeting on Friday following a Supreme Court Decision to invalidate the election of all candidates of the party in Zamfara state.
The development sent shockwaves around the Nigerian political atmosphere. The candidate of Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is scheduled to be sworn in as the new governor of the state.
The meeting which began around 4 pm on Saturday was would also deliberate on whether to sanction those who instituted the case that led to the invalidation of the primaries conducted by the party.
