As the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primaries hold today (Tuesday), Ben Ayade, Cross River governor, has asked his fellow governors and delegates to make him their “last joker”.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Ayade said he has been in touch with delegates of the party across the country.
“I am calling on all my colleagues to support my ambition as PRESIDENT of our great nation,” Ayade wrote on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.
“Mine is our collective project where shared responsibility of the incoming government lies with us all.
“My strategy has been quiet, non-controversial but in touch with the entire delegates nationwide. Let me be your last joker.”
There is a heavy security presence in the vicinity of Eagle Square as APC chooses its presidential flagbearer today.
As of the time of publishing this report, delegates are getting accreditated at the International Conference Centre (ICC) while journalists are waiting to receive press tags at Rayfield Hotel.
