BREAKING: APC Secretary, Commissioner for Youth, Others Docked In Osun

About seven patriots of former Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola were brought on Monday afternoon before a Magistrates Court sitting in Osogbo over alleged assault and conspiracy.

The people were docked before a Magistrates Court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, over alleged assault and conspiracy.

Those docked include the state All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker Secretary, Rasaq Salinsile; former party Chairman and Leader of The Osun Progressives (TOP), Lowo Adebiyi; and one-time Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Engr Kazeem Salami.

Others are Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Special Needs, Biyi Odunlade; former Special Adviser on Taxation, Barrister Gbenga Akano; a member of the APC in Ilesa, Alaba Popoola and one Azeez Adekunle.

They all pleaded innocent to the two-count preferred against them before Magistrates Olusegun Ayilara.

It would be recalled that one of those brought to court on Monday, Odunlade, reportedly escaped an attempted assassination last week.

It was gathered that some gunmen stormed the Ile-Ife residence of Odunlade around 8:00 p.m. on a weekend, vandalised his house, cars and looted his wife’s shop.

Watchers of the political happenings in Osun believe that there is a score to settle between Aregbesola and incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
