The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to rumours of an alleged plan to suspend the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.
The social media space has been agog with reports of a plot to suspend El-Rufai over alleged anti-party activities.
This may not be unconnected with El-Rufai’s visits to the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
However, spokesperson of the APC in Kaduna State, Salisu Wusono, says there is no plan to suspend El-Rufai.
“Nothing like this!,” Wusono said on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
El-Rufai was recently seen with Abdul Ningi, the senator suspended for alleging that the 2024 budget was padded by over N3 trillion.
Speaking at an event in Maiduguri on Monday, El-Rufai alleged that the Bola Tinubu administration was paying more for fuel subsidy than previous governments.
The former governor also announced that he was not interested in the governance of Kaduna State under Governor Uba Sani.
El-Rufai stressed that he does not consider himself as a political godfather.
