The Ebonyi Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) the winner of all available positions in the local government council elections in the state.
The local council elections in Ebonyi state were conducted on Saturday.
Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Jossey Eze, who announced the results on Sunday, revealed that the APC won all 13 Local Government Area (LGA) chairmanship seats and 171 ward councillorship seats.
According to Eze, three political parties – APC, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and Labour Party (LP) – participated in the polls.
He said, “The election has been won and lost, but the victory is for everybody who participated in the elections.
“The winners should carry everybody along and everyone should contribute in delivering democratic dividends to people at the grassroots, which the local government areas represent.”
