APGA speaks on ‘assassination attempt’ on Gov. Soludo

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) on Monday said the convoy of Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State was not attacked at all.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that there was a media report that the Anambra State governor narrowly escaped death when some unknown gunmen stormed Isuofia on Friday night.

Addressing journalists in Awka on Monday, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, said although there was indeed an attack on Soludo’s Isuofia community, the Governor was not involved at all.

“There was nothing like an attack on the governor. What happened was that criminal elements currently suffocating under the heat of the governor’s merciless onslaught against them decided to launch a hit and run attack at Isuofia,” Obigwe said.

“They did that to frighten the residents of Isuofia and to see if Soludo will back out of his decision to end the senseless every Monday sit-at-home in Anambra.

“Soludo’s convoy was not attacked at all.”
