Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday night condemned the deadly attack on the convoy of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the lawmaker representing Anambra South senatorial zone.
POLITICS NIGERIA had reported how several police escorts and aides in the convoy of Senator Ubah were gunned down when he was attacked at Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area (LGA) of the state on Sunday evening.

“We’ve got work to do to ensure that safety and security returns to our dear country,” Atiku said via his verified Twitter handle.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Echeng Echeng has led operatives to the scene of the attack.
According to the state police command, “the situation is being monitored”.
