Atiku won 2019 election by 2 million votes – Kperogi opens up

Media Scholar, Prof. Farooq Kperogi, has said the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, won the 2019 election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Buhari was declared the winner of Nigeria’s election in February 2019 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The electoral commission said he polled 56 percent of the total votes.

Buhari, who first came to power in 2015 after defeating then-incumbent Goodluck Jonathan, defeated his main challenger Atiku, a former vice-president, by a margin of nearly four million votes in results announced by INEC.

Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) claimed 15,191,847 (56%) while Atiku received 11,262,978 (41%) of votes, according to the commission.

Writing recently in his weekly column, Kperogi, a US-based don, described Buhari’s triumph in the last presidential election as “fraudulent”.

“Atiku Abubakar won the election by close to two million votes, Buhari and his minders exploited the power of incumbency—and the hold they had on INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu— to outwit the “owners of Nigeria.” Buhari broke their winning streak.

“Recall that no living former head of state or president, except the unflaggingly gracious Yakubu Gowon, honored Buhari’s inauguration for a second term.

“The “owners of Nigeria” collectively withheld their symbolic stamps of approval from Buhari’s fraudulent second term.

“There was no precedent for that in Nigeria’s democratic history,” Kperogi said.

  1. They didn’t attend because they as elders saw what was going to befall the nation by that unforgivable act of Mahmood Yakubu. What elders sees sitting on the floor young people can’t see standing on top of an iroko tree. The blood of all Nigerians is crying for God’s wrath to visit the perpetrators to their 3rd generations

  2. Can substantiate your claim with concrete evidence , we fond saying what we don’t know . This is a man that have been defeating Atiku without a strong structure even in the so called north where they both comes from your eyes did not see any rigging then .
Now with a stronger structure like APC even they conducted the election one millions time Half buhari will still defeat times two Atiku .
Stop saying what you don’t know .

  4. The prof., You have not spoken this kind of truth in a long time. Atiku is coming on to reclaim the lost mandate, God willing.

  5. IN THAT CASE, IF THIS SAME FRAUDULENT ATTITUDE CONTINUES, ALLEGEDLY, MR TINUBU ASKING HIS SUPPORTERS TO SNATCH AND GRAB POWER, NO MATTER THE COST?, IS GOING TO REPEAT ITSELF ?. THEY STILL HOLD THE POWER OF INCUMBENCY. THE SAME HOLDS ON INEC CHAIRMAN, ARE STILL FRESH AND ALIVE, ON HIM. THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE, IS LIKELY TO BE SUBVERTED.

  6. Sometimes I wonder why Eperogi dabbles into matters he knows nothing about. It is called ignorance. Atiku went to court and after haven been given ample opportunity to prove his case, he could not because he actually lost the election and INEC did it’s job to pronounce him a loser. By the way, when did the serial loser start winning elections in Eperogi’s figment of imagination?
