Popular Igbo Socio-Cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council has warned #EndSARS protesters to stay away from the South-Eastern part of the country.
The group, in a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA, described the resumption of a 2nd wave of #EndSars protests in some parts of Nigeria today as “ill timed and an ill journey that could lead to more casualties than the first protest.”
The statement signed by the President General of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, highlighted that “the Southeast witnessed a massive destruction of public properties and Government assets” adding that “#EndSars protesters should avoid any attempts to invade any part of Southeast, as ‘Operation Crocodile Smile’ by the Nigerian Military is fully operational in the region”.
“It will be suicidal for any youth to engage in another #EndSars protest during this festive period in the Southeast.”
The group also called on igbo youths to avoid the protest.
