Popular bandit leader Bello Turji has released a video outlining his conditions for peace in Zamfara State.
Turji, who has been on the run since security forces declared him wanted four months ago, demands that security agents and vigilante groups cease attacking and killing Fulanis in Nigeria.
Speaking in the video, Turji stated that security agents and vigilante groups must stop attacking and killing Fulanis. He also demands that the government should collaborate with his group for peace to reign.
Turji also accused Nigerian leaders of seeking to exterminate the Fulani people.
He said, “Even if you kill us, it’s God who ordained that to happen, but it’s not by your power.”
In the video, Turji is seen seated on a new motorcycle with a gun. Another gun is seen placed beside him.
