The lawmaker representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo federal constituency of Benue State at the House of Representatives, Honorable Philip Agbese, has commenced the distribution of N10,000 educational grant to 400 students in his zone.
In a statement on Tuesday, Agbese, who doubles as the deputy spokesperson of the House, noted that the purpose of the grant is to support the education of youths in his constituency.
While calling for the support of his constituents, Agbese urged the beneficiaries to put to funds to good use.
“We are pleased to announce that our Back-to-School bursary scheme has commenced in Ogbadibo Local Government Area. Four hundred (400) students have been shortlisted and disbursement has begun. Details will be published soon,” Agbese said.
“Recall that 400 students from Okpokwu Local Government Area already received tokens as support for their return to school after a rather difficult Yuletide season. The last phase will capture Ado Local Government.
“Once again, we wish to reassure our loving constituents that other initiatives and interventions are on their way. Again, be assured that every piece of legislation we advance will be geared toward meeting the needs of the people who depend on us,” he added.
