The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue state has slammed Governor Hyacinth Alia, accusing him of pushing the state towards anarchy and raising concerns about the suitability of Catholic priests in political leadership.
The party’s spokesperson, Bemgba Iortyom, issued a statement condemning the indefinite suspension of Kwande Local Government Area (LGA) Chairman Terdoo Kenti and other members of his Executive Committee by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr. Iortyom described the suspension as an “aberration” and a stark example of Governor Alia’s “disdain for democratic norms and leadership incompetence.” He dismissed the move as “of no consequence,” already deemed “obnoxious” and rejected by the state chapter of the APC itself.
The PDP spokesperson went further, alleging that Mr. Kenti’s suspension is part of a larger pattern of “dictatorial tendencies” exhibited by Governor Alia, aimed at “subverting constitutional order” in the state.
“PDP observes that while the bizarre suspension order by Revd. Fr. Hule in Kwande is shocking, it apes precisely the lawless style of his master, the governor, in Makurdi,” Mr. Iortyom said. He expressed regret that such actions “fuel the growing impression that Catholic priests by their command and authoritarian orientation are unsuitable to political leadership under our liberal democratic setting.”

How can the Bible go wrong? It is impossible for God to lie. The political system belongs to the Devil! 1John 5:19, Luke 4:6-8. Do not dine with the Devil even with a very long spoon. No Christian should be a politician and no politician who wants to be a Christian should remain a politician. Do not deceive yourself Mr Reverend.
