Nigerian music superstar and record label boss David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has finally deleted the short clip from the controversial video of his signee, Logos Olori’s new single ‘Jaye Lo’, which trended on Twitter over the weekend.
Politics Nigeria recalls that the clip, which captured people praying and dancing in front of a mosque, attracted massive criticisms, especially from the northern Muslims, with many calling for the singer to delete the video and tender an apology for disrespecting the Islamic religion.
Davido initially ignored the criticisms, but the DMW boss finally bowed to the pressure and lifted the “offensive” video from his page on Sunday.
A check on the singer’s verified Twitter handle @davido indicated that the controversial video has been taken down.
However, the Timeless crooner is yet to apologise to Muslims as of the time of filing this report.
