The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum has denied refusing to visit Edo state to campaign for his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC in the upcoming gubernatorial elections.
An Image of Zulum alongside the following statement “I can never tarnish my image by coming to Edo State to campaign after seeing all what Oshiomhole said about him in 2016”, went viral on social media over the weekend.
The Borno Governor, in a statement issued via his social media page on Monday, disclosed that he is a ‘thorough-bred’ APC member. He called on the general public to disregard the report describing it as ‘Fake News’.
“Fake News! Pls disregard this mischief. It did NOT come from me and it could never have. I am a thorough-breed APC and 100% in support of all @OfficialAPCNg candidates in any part of Nigeria.” he tweeted.
