Two persons have been rescued as a turbo-prop aeroplane crashed into a building in the Ikeja area of Lagos state on Tuesday, August 1.
This was confirmed to journalists by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
The southwest coordinator of the agency, Ibrahim Farinloye, said that the two persons whose names have been withheld were onboard the crashed chopper.
Politics Nigeria had reported that the aeroplane had crashed in Oba Akran area of Lagos, going up in flames.
The helicopter, headed for the Muhammed International Airport, crashed near the AP Filling Station and United Bank For Africa on the popular road.
Witnesses say that the aircraft was flying low when it crashed. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
